Eastern Point

You have a point
That drives it all home:
Be patient, be still
Like a quiet cove
Alive yet peaceful
Be kind to yourself
Knowing tides ebb often
Rising back with certainty
Be scared yet nimble
Like a startled jackrabbit
Bounding to safety
Be humble and bow down
As God’s dutiful servant
And as merely a speck
In the vastness of the stars
Be brave and tenacious
Like a hungry seagull
Intent on finding its prize
Be playful and agile
Like a darting barn swallow
Singing/laughing with friends
Be and be and be
A light that shines
Like a glorious sunrise
Bursting forth a new day
Be silent to let go
Of the voices in your head
And let sing the inner one
Harmonized with this point
Called Eastern Point
Where we pray and pray
Along the sacred shores
With kind kindred spirits
Saying THANK YOU
With your whole heart
