Retreats
In September of 2022, our Director, Fr. William Campbell, S.J. was interviewed on the morning show of the Catholic Faith Network (Long Island, NY) about our retreat ministry. Click the link below for to learn more about our retreat house and our retreats. Click here |
Directed Retreats
Although differing in their duration, Directed Retreats are a privileged time for you to deepen your relationship with God. You will be assigned a trained spiritual director with whom you will meet briefly each day to discern the movements of God in your life as revealed through your prayer. Aside from these daily conversations and the time you set aside for your own personal prayer, your time is unstructured. The only group prayer offered is the daily Eucharistic liturgy. An atmosphere of silence is to be maintained in the house and on the grounds for the duration of the retreat.
Guided Retreats
Guided Retreats, of differing lengths and schedules, are most often organized around a specific theme. The retreat’s director will give suggestive input during group conferences to orient you and the other retreatants for how might spend your time in private prayer. Guided retreats typically include daily Mass. Depending on the retreat, there may also be a brief time for you to meet privately with the director and/or for the Sacrament of Reconciliation. An atmosphere of silence is typically to be maintained in the house and on the grounds for the duration of the retreat, although a given retreat may alter this expectation due to its theme.
Private Retreats
During a Private Retreat, a retreatant is invited to embrace the silence of Eastern Point while deepening his/her experience of God but without the assistance of individual spiritual direction. Private retreats must be scheduled when a retreat is already scheduled and are subject to availability. Contact the office via phone at (978) 283-0013 or via email at [email protected].
Hosted retreats
Occasionally, Eastern Point makes the house and its grounds available to outside groups for their prayerful use. These retreats are often closed to the public and are not listed on our public schedule. Opportunities for such retreats are limited. Contact the office via phone at (978) 283-0013 or via email at [email protected].
Days of Prayer
Once a month we host a day of Prayer with a seasonal or liturgical theme. Dates for Days of Prayer are listed below.

June 22 – July 27, 2024
[Applications are being accepted for 2024 and 2025 (although the exact dates for 2025 are not yet set).]
Each retreat includes an orientation day at the beginning and two days of review at the end. Retreatants are expected to participate for the entire program.
