Directions to the Retreat House

By Plane:
Fly to Logan International Airport (Boston).  Take free MBTA Shuttle Bus (#22 or #33) to MBTA Subway Station. Ride Blue Line inbound to Government Center. Change to Green Line outbound to North Station.  (You can also take a taxi from Logan Airport to North Station for about $15.00)

By Train:
At North Station (Boston) take commuter train north marked Gloucester/Rockport; the trip takes about one hour and costs about $7.00.  Weekday departures are AM 7:35, 8:30 and 10:20, PM 12:20, 2:20, 4:00, 5:00, 5:25, 6:10, 8:00. At the second Gloucester Station, you can get a taxi for about $13.00. Lighthouse Taxi: 281-6161; Atlantic Taxi: 281-5550.  (Area Code: 978)

By Limo:
You can make a reservation for Limo directly to the Retreat House from Logan Airport by calling  A-1 Livery (978-281-8121).  It’s best to make reservations at least a week ahead of time.  The cost is a flat fee of about $75.00, but if you get together with other retreatants who are flying in around the same time, the cost is divided among you.

By Car:
From Interstate 95 (North or South depending on your point of origin), take Exit 45 (Route 128 North, Gloucester).  Coming from the South, you will be on both I-95 and Route 128 at the same time.  Stay on 128 North to the very end.  This Will take you through two rotaries (go ½ way around both of them to stay on 128 North).

At the second set of lights is the end of 128.  Go straight and drive up over a small hill.  It is marked East Gloucester.  The street is East Main Street. Stay on that main road, which is narrow and curvy and sometimes close to the water on your right side, for a couple of miles until you come to a small beach on your right which is Niles Beach (It is not marked.).

At the far end of the beach, you will pass between two massive stone pillars which are on your right.  (You are now 1 mile from the retreat house.) Drive between the pillars and follow this road.  Be aware that there are four speed bumps which you will be going over.  At a certain point, the road becomes One-Way and turns to the right.  (Do not go between the pillars marked “Lighthouse/Yacht Club.”)  At this intersection, take a left then a little ways down the road, you will take a sharp right between two other massive stone pillars.

When you come to a fork, go left. Our driveway is the next right.  Stay right and park in the lot at the far right of the building, which is the retreat wing.  If the lot is full, park around the circle.
